ANALYSE YOUR BUSINESS

Having determined a client's objectives, we will undertake a thorough review of the operational processes within the business. Commonly this would entail a review of:

  • The functional areas of the business
  • External influences on the busines
  • Existing retirement arrangements such as pension plans
  • Establish status of Intellectual Property
  • Personnel within the business (as possible purchasers/successors)
  • Examine the company's marketing - How strong is it? Does it have a niche?
  • The state of the company's finances
  • Depth of management - if you are a one-man show, you won't get the value you want.
  • Value the business - one of the goals is to bridge the gap between what an owner thinks their company is worth and what a buyer might think it's worth.

The analysis in conjunction with the setting of defined objectives will enable us to submit specific recommendations, ensuring that the solutions for retirement and succession dovetail with wider issues such as estate planning. The next stage of course is to begin implementing the strategy.
