Having determined a client's objectives, we will undertake a thorough review of the operational processes within the business. Commonly this would entail a review of:
- The functional areas of the business
- External influences on the busines
- Existing retirement arrangements such as pension plans
- Establish status of Intellectual Property
- Personnel within the business (as possible purchasers/successors)
- Examine the company's marketing - How strong is it? Does it have a niche?
- The state of the company's finances
- Depth of management - if you are a one-man show, you won't get the value you want.
- Value the business - one of the goals is to bridge the gap between what an owner thinks their company is worth and what a buyer might think it's worth.
